On July 30^th, 2022, the first meeting of the leading working group of SJTU-BOC Institute of Technology & Finance was held in Beijing and Shanghai via both online and onsite forms.Liu Jin, President of Bank of China (BOC),Lin Zhongqin, President of Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU),Zhang Shouchuan, Party Secretary and President of BOC Shanghai Branch,Gu Feng, Executive Deputy Party Secretary of SJTU, andXi Lifeng, member of the CPC Standing Committee and Vice President of SJTU, attended the meeting. The meeting was presided over byXi Lifeng.

Lin Zhongqin, President of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, read out theNotice on the Establishment of SJTU-BOC Institute of Technology & Finance and the Appointment of Leadershipfirstly, and congratulated the establishment of the Institute and the appointment of its leadership.

Liu Jin, President of Bank of China, read out theList of Members of the Leading Working Groupand made a brief speech. He said that as the highest decision-making organization of SJTU-BOC Institute of Technology & Finance, the Leading Working Group undertakes the important mission of high-quality development of the Institute.

Later,Chen Fangruo, Dean of Antai College of Economics and Management (ACEM), Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU) and Dean of SJTU-BOC Institute of Technology & Finance, reported the general situation of the Institute and introduced its progress in talent cultivation, joint scientific research, school site development, etc., as well as the development of the Master of Technology Transfer program, which is the first in China, and Tech-Finance MBA program.

With the successful convening of this meeting, SJTU-BOC Institute of Technology & Finance establishes its organizational structure and operating mechanism and defines the specific objectives and tasks for its future development, which is building the Institute into a "top-tier tech-finance school in the world leading the future development", thus laying a solid foundation and creating a good start for its long-term and sustainable development.

SJTU-BOC Institute of Technology & Finance is operated under ACEM with the dean responsibility system implemented under the guidance of the leading working group, in which,Lin Zhongqin, president of SJTU, andLiu Jin, president of BOC, serve as the group heads.
